The “Elegant Evening to Remember” is a gala dining event that features an awards ceremony recognizing physicians, nurses, volunteers and organizations for their outstanding dedication to the WNYPBN and our bereaved community. Taking place in the spring, this elegant evening includes a cocktail reception, sit-down dinner, and silent and/or live auctions. All auction packages will be created in memory of babies who have died due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or early infant death.

Award winners are nominated by families in our Network. If you wish to nominate a person or company that has helped the WNYPBN and our bereaved community in some way, please contact the WNYPBN offices in the fall/early winter.

31st Annual Walk to Remember

Cheektowaga Town Park

The WNYPBN, Inc. provides a Memorial Walk held in October to help celebrate Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Throughout the nation, parents, family members, friends and healthcare professionals gather to pay tribute to the approximately 870,000 babies who die each year due to miscarriage, ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, stillbirth or early infant death. For the parents who have experienced perinatal loss, this event is an opportunity to listen to beautiful songs and poems, plant a tree, and come together with other parents to remember their beloved children.

The Walk to Remember is held at Cheektowaga Town Park and hosts over 700 people annually. This event is held on the Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend every year. Paint Night

Fall Is Elite 2022

Thank you to Jeremy and Molly White for their annual fundraising campaign with 26Shirts, in honor of their babies Zoe, Lincoln, Miles, and Brecken.

This year, Thin Man Brewery joined the “Fall is Elite” collaboration. This event kicked off with a two week campaign by 26Shirts that featured the original artwork for Fall is Elite 2022. On October 16th, Jeremy and Molly, along with Thin Man Brewery, hosted a launch party featuring their “Fall is Elite” IPA which was created just for this collaboration! The launch party featured a sports raffle as well as a watch party for the Bills and Kansas City game. It was a great win and an even greater event! Thank you Jeremy and Molly White, 26Shirts, and Thin Man Brewery. We are humbled and grateful for your ongoing support, the awareness you bring to WNYPBN, and the generous combined donation total of $11,094.08 from this years “Fall is Elite” collaboration!

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day Memorial Services

October is National Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. October 15^th is generally held as Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day and commemorates babies who have died due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or early infant death. The events generally take place at 6:30 PM with Candle-Lighting at exactly 7:00 PM to help create a Wave of Light in all time zones across the world.

The WNYPBN teams up with Amy Buckner and Gavin’s Light Annual Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day Memorial Service on October 15th. This event is held in the southern tier, near Olean. Contact Amy Buckner for more information: gavinslight@yahoo.com

The Original RED Buffalo Lawn Ornament was thought up in Buffalo, designed in Buffalo and is produced just outside of Buffalo… even the box it comes in is from Buffalo. There’s a lot of Buffalo in this buffalo!

Dress Down Days at your Business

Your company can assist the WNYPBN, Inc. by hosting a Dress Down Day with proceeds to benefit one of the specific programs (such as the Wings of Love Memorial Fund, the Angel Robes Program, the Remembering Love in a Heartbeat Program), or to benefit all of the programs of the WNYPBN.
