In Loving Memory of my Lil Angel

Our Story of Love at First Sight

I had a normal/healthy pregnancy and never imagined that it would have ended so tragically. Adrianna was born sleeping(@38 1/2) on 09/19/08. I never heard her cry, watched her smile or heard her call me mommy. My water broke and went to the hospital, was seen immediately and was told I was in labor. Sounds normal right..? Doctor said I was progressing and that everything looked good. On one of the final checks they questioned c-section due to her being slightly turned. Doctor then proceeded to have me push…..Adrianna was “stuck”, no time for c-section…no answer to why she was born sleeping. It took me a long time to be able to talk about her and the day she was born. I learned that sharing my story helped me as well as other bereaved parents with the grieving process. Still to this day I wonder if the Dr would have just did the c-section would she be here with me today. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. We walk in her memory every year and attend the Evening to Remember basket raffle to help raise money for families in need. I am great full for meeting such an amazing group of people…we are like a family!!

Important Update

Due to the restrictions and safety precautions required by New York State because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the WNYPBN has to restructure our annual events. In response to this series of unfortunate circumstances, the creative team has come up with alternatives to our annual events, while still paying tribute to your beautiful babies and helping others who are in need of assistance after the loss of their babies, while keeping our community safe.
Please visit our Events tab for information about our upcoming 2022 Events and Fundraisers. We hope you are all able to participate in one or all of our events as we adapt to our “New Normal” and continue to stay in good health and be safe. We are grateful for your support!
Thank you, Emily, Christine, Sue, Kelly and our Event Volunteer Committee
